Corporate Bank Analyst Program- Debt Products Track

As an entry level member of the Debt Products Organization (DPO) at Regions, the Shared Services Analyst assesses the potential risks of existing and proposed transactions. These analysts will work closely with DPO teammates to perform underwriting analysis and portfolio administration duties. They will be expected to develop strong working relationships with supported DPO teams.

This track could prepare the individual to ultimately join one of the following DPO groups:

  • Commercial & Corporate Banking
  • Technology & Services
  • Defense & Government Services
  • Healthcare
  • Energy & Natural Resources
  • Restaurant
  • Transportation & Logistics
  • Financial Services
  • Government and Institutional Banking

As a DPO Analyst, you can expect some of the following responsibilities:

  • Preparing an independent, in-depth analysis of financial statements, projections, and business plans, identifying and mitigating key risks.
  • Perform research on specific companies and industries.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of the commercial loan policy and the credit risk management policy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal bank commercial loan policy, credit risk management policy and external regulatory requirements; document any exceptions to policy and related rationale.

Successful DPO Analysts generally have obtained experience/education in the following areas:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, financial services, economics or a related field.
  • Accounting and finance knowledge (six hours of accounting at the college level or equivalent work experience).
  • Expectation of completion of Risk Management Association certification within the first twelve months.
