Internal Audit Development Program

At Regions the Audit Development Program Auditor will participate in a variety of business activities designed to refine technical knowledge, foster teamwork, encourage networking, and demonstrate Regions’ values. ADP Auditors will gain experience in various areas of the banking industry by working alongside the following Audit teams through various rotations, all located in Birmingham, AL:

  • Finance, Corporate Functions, & Risk Management
  • Corporate/Business Banking, Credit Risk, & Wealth Management
  • Consumer Lending & Compliance
  • Operations & Technology
  • BSA/AML & Model Risk
  • Professional Practices

Auditors can expect:

  • Assists in the implementation, execution, and maintenance of an effective risk based audit program that includes ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and Regions’ policies and procedures
  • Performs internal audit fieldwork in accordance with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing under the supervision of experienced auditors
  • Interacts with middle and senior management across multiple bank business units and provides recommendations on how to ensure and maintain an audit-ready environment
  • Participates in a comprehensive training curriculum that offers a blend of classroom and web based training to complement the hands-on experience associates will receive in their assignments
  • Interaction with middle and senior management across multiple bank business units

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Successful Auditors generally have obtained experience/education in the following areas:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, and/or Economics with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
