Has there ever been someone in your life that has inspired a dramatic impact on your future? The person that inspired an impact on my life the most was Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama. Michelle Obama is the wife of the former United States president, Barack Obama. Michelle Obama inspired me to become a caring, sympathetic, and persistent person.

I was inspired to become a caring person because Michelle Obama believed that it was more important to care for others rather than being selfish all the time. Michelle Obama focused her attention on caring for those who were in need of help. In the article Michelle Obama on Biography.com, the author states, “All of us are mentors. You're mentors right here and now. And one of the things I've always done throughout my life, I have always found that person, that group of people that I was going to reach my hand out and help bring them along with me”. The quote above gave me the idea that I wanted to become a nurse. Michelle inspired me to join health science because I wanted to learn how to care for others that were in horrible conditions.

Michelle Obama inspired me to become a sympathetic person because she had faith in helping others with their future career skills. While she was helping others with their future careers, she inspired me to help those who were in need of some tutoring in math. Last year, when I was in the 11th grade, I helped some of my fellow peers interpret the rules of math they couldn’t understand it the first time. I also became a mentor for the children at Quitman Upper Elementary; I helped the fourth graders with their reading and language arts skills. As the year passed, I learned that having faith in others shows them that you believe in them.

Lastly, I was inspired to become a persistent person because Mrs. Obama believed that anybody could accomplish anything she wanted as long as she worked hard. My favorite quote by Michelle Obama that pushed me to become a persistent person stated, “You have to stay in school. You have to. You have to go to college. You have to get your degree. Because that's the one thing people can't take away from you is your education. And it is worth the investment”. In other words, the quote above inspired me to stay in school and accomplish my goals. Furthermore, her quote also inspired me to graduate from Quitman High School and achieve a degree in nursing after two years of college.

In conclusion, Michelle Obama is an inspirational African American that caused a climatic impact on my life. Michelle Obama inspired me to be caring by helping me discover what my future career choice would be. Michelle Obama also inspired me to become a mentor and tutor; moreover, she also inspired me to complete high school and attend college. Michelle Obama is a true inspiration to my life.
